Wonder Fools - 549: Scots of the Spanish Civil War
1936. In villages, towns and cities across Scotland, 549 lives are gradually intertwining. People of contrasting backgrounds, ideologies and religions. Spurred on by their burning passion for equality and freedom, they will form the Scottish ranks of the Spanish Civil War’s legendary International Brigade.
Based on a true story, 549 follows four miners from the streets of Prestonpans to the valleys of Spain. They gave up everything they knew: for a land they did not know; for a people they had never met; and for a cause they believed was right.
549, a play with songs and storytelling, is a timely insight into one of Scotland’s almost forgotten conflicts.
549: Scots of the Spanish Civil War is currently available for touring in summer 2019, for more information please get in touch via the contact page.

Brite Theater - (Can This Be) Home
If you have moved away from where you were born and raised, where is home? Surely it’s not back where you came from because something made you want to get away, but is it where you lay your hat tonight? Where the heart is? Or is it both those things and neither? Have you lost something forever by leaving and what have you gained then?
They keep telling us to go home. But this is home.
Brexit, from the viewpoint of the people it affects most.

Wonder Fools - The Coolidge Effect
You watch porn. Right? You don' t have to tell us. That's not what this is about.
In 2018, pornography is all around us and the amount we watch it is growing at an exponential rate: in the UK alone, 10 million porn videos are consumed every day.
As society's access of pornography increases, so can our unwillingness to talk about it. The Coolidge Effect seeks to break this taboo.
Devised from interviews with porn advocates, addicts, mental health experts and scientists, these unique stories and viewpoints are told through four intertwining narratives: George, a Gameboy wielding teenager; Gary, a father lost in the depths of his own addiction; Gail, a pioneering porn producer and Retrospect, an ex-porn addict who wants you to understand.
The Coolidge Effect uses an interactive blend of storytelling, poetry and science to examine how pornography affects our mental health, relationships and sexual experiences. It most recently featured as part of Incoming Festival at the New Diorama, London and HOME, Manchester, following a Scottish tour in Autumn 2017.
